For six years running, the Tools of Change for Publishing conference in New York has been the premiere event for professionals and companies looking to explore and shape the future of publishing. The sell-out event brings together innovative people, companies and organizations to discuss compelling new business models and the strategic objectives of an ever-changing industry.
Since 2009, the Frankfurt Book Fair and O’Reilly Media have teamed up to bring Tools of Change to Europe once a year in the run-up to the Frankfurt Book Fair. Last year’s TOC Frankfurt drew about 500 attendees from over 30 countries and featured 36 high-quality keynotes and panel discussions.
Now Frankfurt Book Fair and O’Reilly will bring the most important conference on publishing innovation to Latin America:
TOC Latin America will take place for the very first time on 20 April in Buenos Aires.
The Frankfurt Book Fair
The Frankfurt Book Fair is the biggest book fair in the world – with more than 7,400 exhibitors from over 100 countries. It also organises the participation of German publishers at around 20 international book fairs. It maintains the most visited website worldwide for the publishing industry at www.book-fair.com. The Frankfurt Book Fair’s digital initiative, Frankfurt SPARKS, unites the industry’s digital products and projects under one roof, with the aim of bringing together content and technology. Frankfurt Academy brings together the best international conferences, seminars, and publishers’ trips that the Book Fair has to offer all year round. The Frankfurt Book Fair is a subsidiary of the German Publishers & Booksellers Association.
O’Reilly Media spreads the knowledge of innovators through its books, online services, magazines, research, and conferences. Since 1978, O’Reilly has been a chronicler and catalyst of leading-edge development, homing in on the technology trends that really matter and galvanizing their adoption by amplifying “faint signals” from the alpha geeks who are creating the future. An active participant in the technology community, the company has a long history of advocacy, meme-making, and evangelism.
Feria Internacional del Libro de Buenos Aires
Established in 1975, the Feria Internacional del Libro de Buenos Aires is held every April in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is one of the top five book expos in the world. It is oriented to the literary community as well as to the general public. The expo is organised by the Fundación El Libro, a non-profit established by the Argentine Society of Writers (SADE).
